Frequently Asked Questions

How is my order filled?
     Staff members at CRANDIC will personally fill your order and ship it to you.  Employees of Alliant Energy, Alliant Energy Resources, or Alliant Energy Transportation will receive their orders through company mail.  All others will receive their orders through standard ground shipping or mail.

What additional charges will be added to my order?
     Shipping and handling charges are included in price of each item.  So, what you see listed as the price for each item, is what you'll pay.  There are no discounts on shipping charges for multiple item orders.  Iowa Residents: Law requires we add 5% sales tax to all orders placed and delivered to people within the state of Iowa.

How do I pay with my credit card?
      The CRANDIC Store has an agreement to handle all credit card orders through PayPal.  To use PayPal, you'll sign up for a separate PayPal account while placing your order with our store.  If you already have a PayPal account, you don't need to sign up again.  Once you have a PayPal account, you can quickly pay for future purchases at the CRANDIC Store and thousands of other sites.  When placing your order, choose "PayPal" as your payment method.

Can I still order online, even if I want to pay by check or money order?
      Yes, you can place your online order with us, even if you prefer paying by check or money order.  When placing your order, choose "Send Payment."  You will shown a page with a "Click to print" button.  After printing the invoice, mail it with your check or money order to the address noted on the form (2330 12th Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52404).  No cash or CODs, please.  Your shipment will not be sent until your payment is processed.

Is express shipping available?
     At this time, the CRANDIC Store is not offering express shipping services. 

What is CRANDIC?
     CRANDIC is one of the nation's premiere short-line railroads, serving eastern Iowa.  CRANDIC is short for Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Railway.  The railway has been serving shipping customers since 1904 and offered passenger service through May of 1953.  More information on CRANDIC is available on our website at www.crandic.com.
